La Quinta Brewing Co. plans to have its craft beers in more retail stores across the Coachella Valley, under a new agreement with Heimark Distributing.
The brewery and on-site taproom north of Interstate 10 near Washington Street currently produces a variety of pale ales that can be found in 80 hotels, country clubs, bars and restaurants across the valley. Heimark plans to distribute cans of La Quinta Brewing's Poolside Blonde and Indian Canyon IPA to more local grocery stores such as Walmart and Stater Bros., as well as all of its draft styles.
"This new relationship with Heimark will give us the opportunity to grow our footprint even larger within the desert and further solidify our current relationships with our customers," brewery founder Scott Stokes said in a statement.
La Quinta Brewing opened in November with a 4,500-square-foot facility. The 15-barrel brewhouse can produce more than 5,000 barrels, or 10,000 full-sized kegs, each year.
Heimark, based in Indio, has been in the valley for at least 50 years and distributes more than 10 craft beer brands in the desert.
Earlier this year, Coachella Valley Brewing Co. announced it was employing Young's Market Co. of California to distribute three of its beers statewide — Desert Swarm, Kölschella, and Monumentous India Pale Ale.
